Simple and Reliable Mold Release Wax
Parting wax is a non-silicone green wax specially formulated to produce a tough, durable, high-gloss surface. When used with #13 PVA, Partall® parting wax delivers excellent release characteristics.
Special preparation is required when using on a new mold:
- Use a clean dry cloth or applicator pad to apply a thin even coat of Parting Wax to mold surface.
- If buffing by hand, apply to small section and begin buffing within one minute of application. A power buffer equipped with a terry cloth or lamb's wool pad will reduce labor time on larger surfaces. Keep power buffer moving constantly so as not to allow build-up of friction that could burn through the wax coating. Surface should be buffed to a glossy finish.
- In order to insure complete coverage, repeat application and polishing process at least three times when initializing new or reconditioned plugs.
- Allow one hour for solvents to evaporate, producing a tougher wax barrier.

Partall Paste #2 parting wax

This is the first time I used this product and I was very pleased with it. I had just finished an aft nacelle mold for my rc airplane and wanted to be sure the first part I made released from the mold properly. So I put about 6 coats of this wax on buffing between coats then sprayed it with PVA. I did a hand layup of the part with 4 layers of cloth and the part released without any problem at all. Could not ask for a better release. The product worked perfectly. I have quite a few more molds and parts to make so I am now confident that all will be a success.
Also, the customer service we experienced was outstanding!!
