Wrap for Strength, Make Easy Carbon Repairs

Carbon fiber tape is ideal for selective reinforcement of carbon fiber fabrications, sleeve winding, lap joining, and repairs of cracks on graphite surfaces. Just like their wider carbon fabric counterparts, these standard modulus tapes offer higher ultimate tensile strength and stiffness-to-weight ratios than any other commonly available reinforcements.

Carbon fabric tapes are referred to as tapes only for their width and appearance—they are not adhesive backed. Their unfinished edges offer easier handling and a clean, finished appearance. They are ideal for use in auto racing, aerospace, competition marine, and light industrial applications.

Tips

  • To maximize the fiber properties, use with epoxy or vinyl ester resins.
  • Great for strengthening parts
  • Polyester resin is also suitable, and is primarily used in cosmetic applications where higher strength-to-weight ratios are not a factor.

Shipping

All prepackaged rolls of Carbon Fiber Tape, when ordered alone, will typically ship in a small box. Where possible, we will combine ordered items to reduce the number of boxes shipped.

Sizes

All available widths of tape are sold ONLY as prepackaged rolls of either 10 yards (as designated with the letter "A" following the part number, #692-A, for example) or 50 yards (as designated with the letter "B"). Quantity discounts per roll are available when four or more rolls of any one tape are purchased in one order. Discounts continue to deepen as the number of rolls purchased in any one order increases.

A follow-up project!

I had to reinforce another concrete block wall with 6 inch carbon fibre tape and the 1000 epoxy kit. I had some epoxy and hardener left over from the previous job that I did months ago and it was good as new to use. The stuff is amazingly rock hard with little to no odor when mixing. The products and customer service are second to none.

6 inch tape and resin is great!

I used the 6 inch tape with the 1000 / 1025 epoxy resin system for repair and reinforcing a concrete block wall. The tape form-fitted to every little bump and groove. The tape really blended well with the resin to create a battleship hard bond. I couldn't be happier with Fibre Glast. Their advice and products really came through.

I needed carbon fiber tape to reinforce some of my Van's RV-8 fiberglass parts. The 3" wide tape is just what I needed and is offered in 10 yard lengths which is perfect for my needs.

Excellent customer service. Emailed 1 day after ordering to let me know I needed hardener. Products all excellent including Caron fiber tape and 2000 series epoxy. In one week I repaired 2 carbon fiber field hockey sticks. 2 graphite tennis rackets and side mirror of car that broke off

Very easy to work with like fiberglass except that it is carbon fiber

Even though y'all were out of the product that I wanted. Michelle was very helpful in helping me with an alternative and getting the product to me quickly. She was very prompt in returning my emails. I'm not used to that from most vendors
