Strengthens and Mimics Surrounding Substrate
1.64 oz/sq yd, 50" Wide, 0.005" Thick, 20 x 10 Leno Weave
Scrim fabric is a unique open form of fiberglass and is used in a variety of ways:
- It is often used for reinforcement of other types of materials, including fiberglass and some plastics. When fully cured, the scrim fabric strengthens and mimics the expansion/contraction of the surrounding substrate.
- It can be used in repair applications, often for concrete repair and castings.
- It can be adhered to sandwich core materials to allow added conformability.
Like other plain weave fabrics, scrim delivers uniform strength in both horizontal and vertical directions.
Scrim fabric is compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resin systems.
If requested, this fabric can be certified to meet the requirements of: ASTM-4029-09 Style 1659. Fibre Glast is committed to ensuring that every roll of fabric we handle is First Quality and manufactured to the highest standards, so that you can expect the same finish, sizing, and handling characteristics every time you order.
Typical full roll length is 2,500 yards.
