Slides On and Conforms to Changing Shapes

10.4 oz/sq yd, 2" Diameter, 0.011" Thick

Braided sleeve will conform to the shape of products with changing geometries like prosthetics and hockey sticks, improving overall performance, minimizing weight, and maximizing strength. It can be slid over a prepared mandrel or cylinder to create straight or tapered tubing.

The sleeve can be increased from a base diameter up to 30% and decreased by 70%. This means that our 2-inch sleeve can be used in a single application ranging from 0.6" to 2.6" in diameter.

Braided sleeve is seamless, so it withstands internal pressure and carry load, and tolerates damage and fatigue. When inflated, it works much like a shark's body, orienting to the direction of force. If a puncture does occur, the sleeve provides a slow, controlled failure, rather than a more damaging and potentially dangerous blowup.

Laying up sleeve is predictable, repeatable, and suitable for precise manufacture of composite parts. It is extremely resistant to cracks between layers, reducing the possibility of delaminating and increasing the strength of the product.

Use with epoxy, polyester, or vinyl ester resin systems. Sleeve matches the 2x2 twill weave pattern of #1094 fabric.

With the Fibre Glast commitment, you can expect the same finish, sizing, and handling characteristics every time you order this sleeve.

Prepackaged rolls, when ordered alone, will typically ship in a small box. Where possible, we will combine ordered items to reduce the number of boxes shipped.
2" Braided Fiberglass Biaxial Sleeve

Sleeve is sold by the linear yard, either as a prepackaged quantity or by continuous yardage.

Prepacks
Sleeve is available in pre-cut lengths that measure one yard (#2610-A, roll), three yards (#2610-B, roll), and five yards (#2610-C, roll). Each is packaged and sold separately. For your convenience, these "prepacks" can be purchased in any combination. However, if the length for any one cut of sleeve totals 10 yards or more, we suggest you purchase it in continuous, "cut to length" yardage.

Continuous, "Cut to Length" Yardage
If you know in advance that you intend to purchase 10 yards or more of sleeve, it should be ordered in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. In this case, sleeve will be cut once according to the total yardage ordered, and customers receive a price-per-yard discount as compared to prepacks.

Quantity discounts continue to deepen as the yardage increases for any one cut of sleeve.
