China Bristle Brushes
These brushes are so necessary to fiberglass work that we have spent considerable effort in finding the best source. Constructed of pure china bristle for the stiffness required to stipple resins into mats and fabrics. Epoxy potted bristles resistant to all solvents. Sanded wood handle for ease of grip and solvent resistance. We do not recommend these brushes for finish coats as they tend to leave bristles which are otherwise harmless in laminations. These brushes are all 1-3/4" trim length and 5/16" thick.
Polyester Finish Brush
High Quality, Stands up to Styrene
Although we recommend spraying gel coat whenever possible, sometimes it needs to be brushed and resin is often brushed. A standard stippling brush will leave bristles and an imperfect surface. These top quality brushes will hold up to gel coat, resin and acetone for a professional finish - in mold or for surface repairs. Can be cleaned with acetone.
Quick Change Roller Cages
High Quality, Stands up to Styrene
Our Quick Change Roller Cages fit our Saturation Sleeves or our Roller Covers. The Roller Cages are perfect for the fiberglass and composite industries. They have durable handles, allowing strong pressure to be applied, and the solid ends prevent resin and glass from entering (can easily be cleaned with acetone).
Polyester and Mohair Roller Covers
Tough Enough to Handle Resin
The most important thing about selecting a proper paint roller for fiberglass work is making sure the core will stand up to resin! A dissolving roller is not the way to start a job. These rollers are backed with two layers of polypropylene for repeated use and cleaning with acetone. But they are inexpensive enough to throw away.
3 inch Roller with Wire Handle
Use it and Throw it Away
Paint Trays and Liners
Quick and Easy Resin Application
Paint trays and liners make a messy job easier. Remember that you can only work with catalyzed resin for about 20 minutes so don't mix too big of a batch!
Painter's Tape
For All-Weather Spray-Up Protection
Mask off anything that shouldn't get resin on it before spraying! Resin goes everywhere and a good application requires an even swath. Start on the outside of the masked area and work past the masked area to even out the resin flow.
Putty Knives
Handy and Inexpensive
There are a few occasions to use a putty knife when working with resin. Although these can be cleaned with acetone, they often end up coated with resin and are inexpensive enough to throw away.
Drop Cloths and Tarps
Won't Dissolve under Resin or Acetone
A wide variety of sizes for many applications, these drop cloths and tarps are professional quality for demanding environments and many hands and feet.
Bucket Grid
Quickly Remove Excess Resin
Above a 5 gallon bucket or a paint tray, this bucket grid allows removal of excess resin back into the container. Control the resin on your roller with minimum loss. Can be cleaned with acetone.
Mixing Sticks & Paddles
Mixing sticks, 6" long. Mixing Paddles, 9", 12" and 21" long.
Paint Can Opener
Great for quickly opening paint cans.
