Sunrez UV Putty is made with the 7355 UV vinyl ester resin. The base resin is thickened with various thixotropic compounds to produce a thick peanut butter like consistency. The UV putty is ideal for filling imperfections such as gouges, scratches, small holes, etc. and can be used like body filler and applied with a trowel or squeegee. As with all Sunrez products they will begin curing after mere seconds of exposure to direct sunlight so shade areas if used outdoors.
The outermost surface of the putty will remain slightly tacky after curing if a film is not used over the surface (oxygen inhibition). This can be used to your advantage if you're applying a layer of UV prepreg over the top as it will allow primary bonds to be formed between the two materials. If the putty is used as a surface coat, apply it with a squeegee to flatten out the surface and then cover it with a clear film and squeegee the film against the putty to remove any air. Then, use either the UV light kit (835-A) or set it directly in the sun to cure the putty and a tack free surface will be generated.
- UV Blocking Film recommended when a UV cure is not wanted immediately.

How Should Sunrez UV Putty Be Used for Best Results?
Sunrez UV Putty is best applied by trowel or squeegee directly into the imperfection. When used as a surface coat, squeegee the putty flat, cover with a clear film, and squeegee the film against the putty to remove air. Cure with the UV Light Kit (#835-A) or in direct sun. Use a UV Blocking Film when an immediate cure is not needed, and PET film for a tack-free cure.
