Four to five coats of about 5 mils each, with 15 to 20 minutes of dry time between coats, builds the recommended 20 to 25 mil total thickness. Use the #122-A Gel Coat Thickness Gauge to track film build. If the material needs thinning for the spray gun, #70 Styrene Thinner or Duratec #1039/#1040 are both compatible. One gallon covers approximately 40 to 80 square feet. Color Gel Coat is made to order and all sales are final.
