What Is RAL 8007 Fawn Brown Color Gel Coat?
RAL 8007 Fawn Brown Color Gel Coat is a made-to-order polyester gel coat matched to the RAL 8007 standard. It is applied first in the mold, forming the outermost surface layer of the finished part. The Fawn Brown color is built into the material, not painted on, so it cannot chip or wear away from the surface.
Why Choose RAL 8007 Fawn Brown Color Gel Coat?
Fawn Brown is a light, warm brown with a soft, natural quality reminiscent of fawn or deer coloring. Its gentle, natural tone makes it a comfortable choice for exterior composite panels and outdoor architectural parts where a soft, natural brown blends with earthy surroundings. Fibre Glast matches it precisely to the RAL 8007 standard, so the color is consistent and repeatable across production runs. For physical color confirmation before ordering, the #4008-A RAL Color Book has printed swatches of all 188 RAL colors.
What Are the Best Applications for RAL 8007 Fawn Brown Color Gel Coat?
Exterior composite panels, outdoor equipment, and architectural parts where a soft, natural fawn brown finish complements earthy surroundings. It can also be used for open-air repairs when combined with Duratec Hi-Gloss Additive.
How Should RAL 8007 Fawn Brown Color Gel Coat Be Used for Best Results?
RAL 8007 Fawn Brown Color Gel Coat is catalyzed with #69 MEKP at 1.5% to 2.5%. Spraying is the recommended application method for consistent film build. Work in 4 to 5 coats of approximately 5 mils each with 15 to 20 minutes between coats, targeting a total thickness of 20 to 25 mils. Use the #122-A Gel Coat Thickness Gauge to verify. If thinning is needed for spray viscosity, use #70 Styrene Thinner or Duratec #1039/#1040 Clear Hi-Gloss Additive. One gallon covers 40 to 80 square feet depending on application method. This is a made-to-order color and all sales are final.
