How Should Replacement Parts Be Used?
All parts for the Chopper Gun are sold by the unit. The #1171-A Chopper Gun is compatible with #526 Gun Roving, which is fed into the rear of the gun. The gun chops the roving into short pieces and deposits them onto the mold. Keeping wear items fresh ensures the gun continues to chop cleanly and deposit the equivalent of one layer of 1 oz mat onto a vertical surface without fall-off before wet-out. The new design of the #1171-A increases cutter head surface by 32% and increases the quantity of chopped material between blade replacements by 33%, but all cutting and feed components will eventually require replacement with regular use.
