What Is Marine Spray Adhesive?

1604-A Marine Adhesive is a high performance industrial strength contact adhesive formulated with zero VOCs to comply with California and OTC state regulations. It is water resistant and temperature resistant to over 200°F, and bonds a wide range of substrates including decorative laminates and veneers, fiberglass, glass, upholstery, fabrics, foam, boat headliners, cork, and particle board.

Why Choose Marine Spray Adhesive?

1604-A combines zero VOCs, high temperature resistance, and postformability in a single adhesive. The zero-VOC formulation meets SCAQMD Rule 1168 and OTC requirements. The bond holds at temperatures over 200°F. The product is postformable, meaning a bonded laminate can be shaped after assembly.

What Are the Best Applications for Marine Spray Adhesive?

Marine interiors and decorative fabrication: bonding laminates and veneers, boat headliners, upholstery, fabrics, foam, fiberglass, glass, cork, and particle board. For general shop contact bonding see 1603-A General Purpose. For vacuum infusion layup see 1601-A or 1602-A.

How Should Marine Spray Adhesive Be Used for Best Results?

Apply using the pebble spray pattern for even coverage, allow to reach tack, then bond. Its postformable nature allows shaping of bonded laminates after assembly. 1604-A is flammable (DOT). Use adequate ventilation and keep away from ignition sources.
