High-Strength Heavyweight for Overall Strength

1200 g/m2 (36 oz/yd2), 50" Wide, Stitched Triaxial

This Saertex triaxial cloth is designed to add high strength in all directions for finished composite parts. High-strength polyester is used to stitch bundles of fiberglass at +/- 45 degrees, with larger bundles at zero degrees.

Fibers are not crimped and fabric lays smooth, promoting maximum strength properties.

This fabric is ideal for wet lay-up and infusion, and can be used with epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resin systems. It is thicker, however, and not suitable for small details.

The Saertex brand ensures top quality in this category. In addition, the Fibre Glast First Quality commitment means you can expect the same finish, sizing, and handling characteristics every time you order.

Shipping

Rolled fabrics ship in a long (45", 53", or 62") box. Click below on the "What to expect when you order Fabric" video to see how rolled fabrics are cut and shipped each time you order.

Sizes

Saertex 1200 g/m2 (36.0 oz/yd2) Stitched Triaxial This fabric is sold by the linear yard, either as a prepackaged quantity or by continuous yardage. Prepacks This fabric is available in pre-cut lengths that measure one yard (#2808-A, roll), three yards (#2808-B, roll), and five yards (#2808-C roll). Each is packaged and sold separately. For your convenience, these "prepacks" can be purchased in any combination. However, if the length for any one fabric totals 10 yards or more, we suggest you purchase it in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. Continuous, "Cut to Length" Yardage If you know in advance that you intend to purchase 10 yards or more of any one fabric, it should be ordered in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. In this case, fabric will be cut once according to the total yardage ordered, and customers receive a price-per-yard discount as compared to prepacks. Quantity discounts continue to deepen as the yardage increases for any one cut of one fabric.

Outboard Bracket

Oct 18, 2018  |  By mario natividad

Purchased 5Yds of this Triaxial Mat and love it! I am building a full transom fiberglass bracket for an outboard motor on a boat. This thing needs to be strong and the Triaxial mat let's me build strength fast. It conforms to a 1/2" radius surprisingly well. It wets out with epoxy or poly resin reasonably well without soaking up excessive resin like CSM does. It is easy to work with, I love this stuff. Going to purchase 5 more yards. If your working on a project that needs a good strength to weight ratio than this is it.
