Minimize Print-Thru within your Lamination
This surfacing mat is a thin ply of continuous strand fibers that are randomly looped throughout the roll of material. It serves two primary purposes:
- As a surface coat, it is often added to molds to minimize the pattern show-through of heavier fabrics applied later. It permits surface sanding of finished parts without compromising, or cutting into, the reinforcing fabric below.
- When used with sandwich core, it may be placed directly over core materials to optimize bond-line thickness. It will also keep excess resin from draining into honeycomb cells when a vacuum is not used.
It is extremely thin, with a consistency much like tissue paper, and is held together with only a light binder—it does NOT add strength or structural value to any application.
- 38" Wide
- 3.0 - 4.4 g/ft2
- 0.008" 0.012" thick
Binder is not compatible with any epoxy. PLEASE NOTE: It should be used with polyester or vinyl ester resin only.

Continuous Strand Veil Surfacing Mat This surfacing mat is sold by the linear yard, either as a prepackaged quantity or by continuous yardage. Prepacks This fabric is available in pre-cut lengths that measure one yard (#260-F, roll), three yards (#260-G, roll), and five yards (#260-H, roll). Each is packaged and sold separately. For your convenience, these "prepacks" can be purchased in any combination. However, if the length for any one cut of mat totals 10 yards or more, we suggest you purchase it in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. Continuous, "Cut to Length" Yardage If you know in advance that you intend to purchase 10 yards or more of mat, it should be ordered in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. In this case, mat will be cut once according to the total yardage ordered, and customers receive a price-per-yard discount as compared to prepacks. Quantity discounts continue to deepen as the yardage increases for any one cut of mat.Reviews

I would like to see this product a little thicker, but not as thick as your mat. For my purpose the mat is too thick and the veil too thin, I have to double the veil
