Why Choose Scrim Fabric?
Unlike traditional fiberglass fabrics that are primarily used to build composite parts and molds, scrim is also designed for reinforcement and repair of non-composite substrates. The 1-Pick Leno weave pattern creates a square aperture within the weave, allowing the substrate material to show through and the scrim to integrate with the surrounding material.
The lightweight construction means the scrim adds reinforcement without significantly changing the profile or dimensions of the repaired area.
How Should Scrim Fabric Be Used for Best Results?
The open weave structure allows resin to flow through easily for rapid wet-out.
Available as cut-to-length yardage (#246, min 10 yd), 1-yard package (#246-A), 3-yard package (#246-B), and 5-yard package (#246-C).
