Details

High Gloss Film, With or Without Perforations

Available perforated and non-perforated, our Low Temperature Release Film makes for an easy release of vacuum bagging materials from your part once the process is complete. When used directly next to your laminate, it generally produces a smoother, glossy surface finish for your part (although it can be used on top of peel ply within a set-up). This Release Film is suited for use in temperatures up to 315°F.

  • #1580 Perforated Release Film features small holes 0.045" in diameter across the surface, each 12" apart, that allow air and excess resin to pass through.
  • #1781 Non-Perforated Release Film does not have any holes, therefore the resin used in your laminate stays in your laminate. Resin content can be more closely controlled using the solid release film and a known quantity of resin during your layup.

Comes in a 60"-wide sheet, and can be used with all of the resins on our website.

This release film is approximately 0.001" thick.

Shipping

Folded prepacks are typically shipped in a small box, or packaged in a box with other items on your order. Rolled materials ship in a long (45", 53", or 62") box.

Great way to keep some resin in place and add some shine to your part.

This holed film works well for trapping some resin in the part. I often use the nylon cloth under this stuff so that I have a nice bonding surface but yet I still have enough resin retained for a good mold side finish.
