High Temperature Release Film
Control Surface Resin for High-Temp Applications
Our High Temperature Release Film is a high elongation FEP Release Film. FEP stands for fluorinated polymer release which is a chemistry very similar to the DuPont product called Teflon®. As a result, it is especially easy to pull from your part once vacuum bagging is completed. It is more durable and pliable than other release films and is suited for use with temperatures up to 500°F. It is available in two different styles.
- #1787 Perforated Release Film features holes 0.015" in diameter (P3 perforations) across the surface, each 1⁄2" apart; holes allow resin and air to pass through. It is well suited for vacuum infusion. Available in 50"-wide sheet.
- #1782 is a solid sheet with no perforations, so resin content for your laminate can be more closely controlled. The resin in your part stays in your part. Available in a 60"-wide sheet.
Both styles can be used with all of the resins on our website, including epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester.
Release film is 0.001" thick.
