No-Crimp Fibers for Strength in One Direction

955 g/m2 (28 oz/yd2), 50" Wide, Stitched Unidirectional

This Saertex unidirectional cloth is primarily designed to add strength in one direction for finished composite parts. Reinforced polyester threads are used to stitch large bundles of fiberglass at zero degrees, and small bundles at 90 degrees.

Fibers are not crimped and fabric lays smooth, promoting strength properties.

Unidirectional fabric is ideal for wet lay-up and infusion which require fast wet-out and strength control.

It can be used with epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resin systems.

The Saertex brand ensures top quality in this category. In addition, the Fibre Glast First Quality commitment means you can expect the same finish, sizing, and handling characteristics every time you order.

Shipping

Rolled fabrics ship in a long (45", 53", or 62") box. Click below on the "What to expect when you order Fabric" video to see how rolled fabrics are cut and shipped each time you order.

Sizes

Saertex 955 g/m2 (28.0 oz/yd2) Stitched Unidirectional This fabric is sold by the linear yard, either as a prepackaged quantity or by continuous yardage. Prepacks This fabric is available in pre-cut lengths that measure one yard (#2903-A, roll), three yards (#2903-B, roll), and five yards (#2903-C roll). Each is packaged and sold separately. For your convenience, these "prepacks" can be purchased in any combination. However, if the length for any one fabric totals 10 yards or more, we suggest you purchase it in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. Continuous, "Cut to Length" Yardage If you know in advance that you intend to purchase 10 yards or more of any one fabric, it should be ordered in continuous, "cut to length" yardage. In this case, fabric will be cut once according to the total yardage ordered, and customers receive a price-per-yard discount as compared to prepacks. Quantity discounts continue to deepen as the yardage increases for any one cut of one fabric.

High quality fiberglass

Aug 5, 2023  |  By Paul Hays

We have been using this fiberglass for the repair of wind turbine blade for many years and have never had any issues. It's consistently high quality and we love that we can order custom length rolls which helps reduce waste and accurately represent material costs for each job.
