The Dremel® Rotary Tool is a great addition to any tool box. Our rigorous testing found that this tool with the accessories on this page take the very tough job of cutting, grinding and drilling fiberglass and carbon fiber laminates and make it easy. Rather than relying on brute force to muscle through jobs, the Dremel®tool uses the highest speed available. With a variable range of 5,000 to 35,000 rpm, this lightweight, compact, soft grip tool is extremely versatile. This tool is supplied with a battery and a 3 hour charger and the unique battery pack design includes a Battery Fuel Gauge to know when it is time to recharge. Plus, unlike regular batteries which must be drained before recharging, lithium-ion batteries can be recharged at any time without ever damaging the original charge capacity or run time. It is also supplied with storage case, 1/8" collet, Quick Change Collet Nut, 40 assorted accessories, wrench and Quick Start Guide.   

These wheels do a great job cutting cured fiberglass and carbon fiber laminates. We had no problem cutting through 4 layers of carbon and 10 layers of Style 7781 fiberglass - both cured with epoxy! Although these wheels can be used for other materials in addition to composites, they should not be used on steel. Mandrel is included. Part number 1929-A is a 7/8" diameter diamond wheel with a thickness of .023" for thin, clean cuts. Part number 2304-A is a 1.25" diameter carbide wheel with a thickness of .070" for rough, aggressive cuts.
